When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and display name. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile picture from Google. We do not store your password in plain text — authentication is handled securely via Supabase Auth.
When you use features like check-ins, reviews, or WiFi verifications, we store that activity along with the date and time it occurred, linked to your account.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to operate and improve Grabnwork. This includes:
- Displaying your contributions (reviews, check-ins, verifications) publicly on the platform
- Showing your public profile page at
/profile/[username] - Sending transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- Preventing abuse and enforcing our community guidelines
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This involves cookies and anonymous usage data (pages visited, session duration, device type). You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We also use a session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled if you want to use authenticated features.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure in the EU). We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own private data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request data deletion or export, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Grabnwork after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
